
Following a successful program
in Karshi, Uzbekistan the Health Expo team was given the opportunity to
travel to the border city of Termiz. Termiz is located across from
Afghanistan on the Amu-Darya River.
Health Officials graciously provided the team with the best hall in
town - shown above.
The road to Termiz was long and dusty with an occasional
site like this one - an elderly shepherd on his mule.
Generations of hard work in the sun mark this old
woman's face, a face so interesting and so needy to learn of God's love.

Clay buildings like these are an ordinary sight in "kishlaks"
(local villages) that are outside city limits.

The Afghan border outside of Termiz where
new electric fences were being installed immediately following the events
of September 11.

Over 400 people attended the daily
meetings.
